YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYY!
I'm a little excited to get away. This will be my 3rd year of going to a scrapbooking/Great Beginnings retreat, just a couple of hours away from tiny town.
It's fabulous. Great food (which I don't have to cook or even think about,) two wonderful friends to chat endlessly with, times of prayer and reflection, AND scrapbooking.
What?!? You didn't know I scrapbook?!? Hmmm...I never talk about it?!? Yeah...that's because I went on this retreat last January, scrapped my brains out, and then started this little blog in February. Guess what I have not done since last January....scrapbook.
But, I have unrealistic expectations high hopes of getting caught up. Even better than that, is just taking a brief break from reality...with friends.
Maybe you could all say a quick prayer for my hubby as he becomes a single dad/pastor trying to prepare two sermons for Sunday kinda guy...with 3 little boys to help ;)
PS - I'm fully aware anything I've cleaned or organized the past 2 weeks will be undone in my absence...it's the price I pay...and it's totally worth it. Amen.

Hi Sarah! I love your blog... been "stalking" for some time now, but haven't commented until today! I also was an avid "scrapper" until I started blogging! I feel your pain! My husband is out of town for a while, and I've convinced myself that I'll catch up on the scrapbooking. We'll see... Hope you have a great weekend!

we are all behind on scrapbooking arent we? i hope you have a great weekend away, i have always wanted to so one of those retreats. enjoy every minute of it. i would say you deserve it since you have been on the "tangent" recently. i'm impressed with all you have accomplished!

Totally worth it. ;) Have fun!! I wish I could just get the pics into photo albums and out of boxes. There's always my retirement years... haha!

ReplyDeletei scrapbooked my heart out for like 3 years, then baby #2 came along & i don't have 1 page of him. very sad, i know. i still take a lot of pictures & in the process of getting them organized into books. big job! but what i do now instead of scrapbooking is the photobooks from shutterfly, snapfish, even wal-mart, cvs has them. not tried them. i have only used shutterfly & snapfish. i LOVE them! i do one a year for each of my boys. they love looking at them. and i love not having to buy paper, glue, stickers! ha just a thought you might want to look into. :)
