Redundant

I'm having some trouble blogging lately.  Let's call it a funk of sorts.

I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that everyday is a little like the movie Groundhogs Day...you know, where you wake up and do the same thing over and over and OVER.  Truthfully, I don't mind it...except that then I find myself talking about the same things over and over.

So goes life.  So goes me.  Whether you know me in real life, or just through this little blog, I'm afraid that's what you get.

Here it is.  In all it's redundant glory...what's rolling around in my head:

  • I'm pretty focused on running right now.  Getting back into shape so that it can proceed to the next level, and then the next level, and eventually to what seems the impossible level for me...the 1/2 Mary (which is what my inspiring friend who somehow convinced me I can do this thing called the 1/2 marathon...and from this point on I'm only calling it that ;)
  • That means I'm really trying to eat healthier...and drink more water *bleh*  Not even my new cute bottle can make it more appealing.
  • I'm a bit obsessive over the weather too, biting at the bit for it to get nice out and STAY nice.
  • I'm very very disturbed at the guys-wearing-scarves-for-purely-fashion-reasons.  It's freaking me out a bit.  I love scarves.  I think women look great in scarves.  Men....well let's just say I'm having trouble letting that one go.
  • I love casual summer dresses.  This is going to be the year of the summer dress for me.  Who needs shorts when I can wear a cute dress.  See...it's all about the weather people.
  • My iPod...I've mentioned it in every conversation I've had for the past month.
  • Easter.
  • Julie...and the countdown till she gets here!
  • Summer vacation...lazy days at the pool and park with my boys.
Let me have it, what can't you stop thinking/talking about!?!

  1. well, the one thing i can't stop talking about is twilight! did you ever watch the movie? i also keep talking about the ipod that i want. which ends up i'll be "buying" audrey's cause she is saving up money to buy a ipod touch. i've already started making my list of songs.

men wearing scarves!?! huh? i've not seen this! really? ewwwww!

and yes, it is ALL about the weather. i hate it when it's like 70ish for a week and then turns super cold the next! ugh! okay, off to check out the summer dress!

  2. I can't stop thinking about going to the beach in May. I guess it's because I've been so busy lately, the beach sounds more and more appealing. I find myself daydreaming about it!

That dress is adorable! Wish I could afford it!

  4. I have to disagree with you... I don't find you redundant at all. If you do talk about the same things, you do a good job of keeping it fresh girlie...OR I am a bit slow on the uptake. (entirely possible)

I can't stop talking about our very soon and upcoming vacation and my awesome husband and who just gave me a blog make over for my blogoversary!

  6. Food. And this is sad, because alot of bloggers are focused on exercise and all around healthiness. You are talking about a 1/2 Mary ... And I can't stop thinking about food. And I'm not talkin' about veggies here. :) ANy way, I'll blame it on the baby. - Which is another subject that has the capability to monopolize my thoughts. :)

I am so with you on the cute fun dresses for summer!! I am all about that this year. I have found some cute casual skirts that have me all excited too. Cute, super comfy, and the ones I have found have a simple stretchy waist band that will accomodate my expanding one. GOOD stuff!

  7. I am TOTALLY there with you on the summer dresses!! I just got back from Florida last week where I spent the entire week in a cute little summer dress if not in swimwear!! Then I come back here to finicky Indiana and I yearn to engulf my being a happy summer dresses....alas that day has not arrived...yet! As for the summer dresses, while the J Crew dress was cute, may I suggest good ol Old Navy?!?! I got several REALLY cute dresses for vaca....love, Love, LOVE the long solid dresses with a funky scarf/shoes/jewelry!!

  8. Men in scarves is creepy but what do you think of the men in eyeliner look? I creep myself out when I admit that I like it. But only on rockstars.

    Yay for summer dresses.

  9. I like men in scarfs...I think it's kinda fun, but I don't think David - the hubs - could pull it off. You have to be a New Yorker or a ultra hip guy to make it work. My husband's more of a preppy guy.

Let's see - I'm obsessed with my google reader. it's TOTALLY out of control.

I'm also obsessed with avoiding doing the laundry, saving money to buy Avery's Big Girl Bed, etsy, diet cokes from sonic, and sandals - loads of pretty sandals.

    Hope you are doing well!
Have I told you that I just love your blog?
You manage to make the most ordinary things sound interesting. That's talent!

  12. I'm all about casual and cute summer dresses. I really hate the way shorts look on me, so I only own two pairs...that's all I could find that fit well.

Anway, I'm waiting in anticipation for the nice weather to stay too.

    Enjoy your running.

  13. I was in a blogging funk too, just all out of sorts. Weather, sad stuff, Groundhog Day-all getting me down. I think I'm still kind of in the funk, but maybe when the sun shows itself and sticks around I'll perk up...MAYBE.

What can't I stop thinking/talking about? Apparently the weather...
but not a 1/2 Mary. I do kick around the idea of starting to run though, I need to get in shape! Badly!

Why am I writing a book?
