Number Three

My baby is three years old today...surprisingly enough, I have not cried yet (granted, it is only 8:30 am :) I think part of it is, he's just so much fun right now, that I really am just enjoying him.

Seriously, the stuff he comes up with...yesterday I walked out my back door to find this...

Umm...there used to be lovely white daisies attached to this plant...and after this post, ya'll know I have some trouble with foliage. Where were the lovely flowers?!? Here...in the grass.I knew who the culprit was...when I asked him, he had an excellent explanation...

"But I SAW-WEE!"

The butchering of the word sorry, gets me every time. I love you, little man.

Happy 3rd Birthday, Jakob!

  2. Awwww! I would't be able to resist that adorable litte face either. And you haven't cried yet over the fact that he's 3? You are stronger than I would be, for sure!

Happy Brithday, Jakob. I know you'll still be your mama's sweet boy even though the calendar says your one year older.

  7. How funny . . . I had the same reaction from my two year old this morning when he took a hand mirror and tried to use it as a hammer on my wooden rocking chair. He was being so cute with it as I was getting ready this morning and then all of a sudden I hear the sound of glass breaking. I quickly walked around the corner and there he was and there IT was - uh oh - seven years bad luck? I would have been upset if I believed that folklore! Cody looked at me and said - SOWRY MOMMY, BROKE IRROR.
I am not sure how anyone could be upset with that! I could love the sugar right out of him.

  12. I agree with the other girls...how could you possibly be mad at that sweet face?

I was cracking up at your bulb story. I planted some flowers today and hurried to take pictures of them for the Garden Tour before I kill them dead. lol

  14. With a face like that...who can do anything but hug him! Reminds me of a scene with my younger son -- ever so long ago. If I can dig up the picture, maybe I'll blog it!

Thanks for the encouragement on the TEST! I did take it!

  17. That is so cute! We had friends over this weekend and one little sweetie who is 2 yrs old brought me in a whole geranium plant out of my flower box and said 'look, I pick flower!' as roots and dirt were dripping off of it. Very cute.
