Lest I Worry You...

Yesterday I mentioned my bout of rebellion in the winter coat wearing department.

Lest I worry some of you, I thought I would prove that I am in fact still wearing a coat...just not of the winter variety. I wouldn't want you to think I was running willy-nilly all over Iowa with no coat.

I bet they don't teach Julie the word willy-nilly over in Norway. I bet they don't teach that anywhere...it's one of those little gem of a words that one starts using when they've had, what should be, and illegal amount of caffeine which was consumed in a matter of hours.

Also, and this is totally random, but at WalMart today, as I was pushing the cart, it kept shocking me...continually! It was the weirdest thing! It wasn't like I touched the metal and got a little zap, it was continual zaps as I held onto it! I think there's something weird going on at WalMart...I'm just sayin'.
PS - Ignore the sweater hanging out from under the coat...I'm sure it is a fashion don't...but trust me when I tell you the skinny jeans need a long sweater, and the long winter coat was obviously not an option in my time of rebellion.

  1. I'm on a no-winter-coat-rebellion as well. A little chilly when it's only 20 something degrees out.

    You are too cute, girlie.

I think we're coming that way for Easter and staying in Cedar Falls, I have decided to ban Dave's gross house once and for all!

  4. I would be in winter-coat-rebellion if it was warmer than the 12 degrees we had this morning. I am soo very over the winter.

  7. Darling coat---so sorry that the WalMart cart was shocking the willy nilly out of you! The other day, I kept shocking poor pickle, every time I touched him he'd say "Ow" I once tried to give him a hug and he said "No! Mama hurts." I almost cried. Fortunately the electricity between us lost its spark and I can once again hold my baby without causing trauma.

The word verification thing I had to use for this comment was Proksl...don't know why, but I thought that was pretty funny.

  9. You are the cutest thing. I want to go shopping with you, because your clothes look very expensive, but as a preacher's wife I know they aren't. Anyway, I meant that to sound like a compliment, but it might not have. :)

  12. OK, I'm new here and hope I don't offend. When I first saw your picture, I thought "Oh, stylish. Look at those thigh-high boots and that jacket." When I read the sweater part I had to go back and look. Oops. :-)

  14. you crack me up girl!
I hate wearing a coat! they are so bulky and yucky! Sadly, i have passed this down to Audrey. Which is fine, i'm just always worried that she is freezing in her little cute hoodie.

is that not the weirdest thing , the cart shocking thing. I have that happen to me all the time, HATE it!

  15. I think the peek-a-boo sweater adds to your look. I currently have two dryer sheets in my purse and a can of static guard on my dresser. My heart can only take so many shocks. I must say it's electrified our marriage. Every time I kiss FringeMan an electrical current makes us both jump. I'm beginning to think our wardrobe only consists of cheap nylon.
