Finally I Give the Book Away!

The day has come. Check out my book!

Finally.

The chance to win the book! Lisa even autographed it for you. And I even autographed my quote for you. Kidding. I'm only kidding. I totally didn't sign it...although I may have smiley faced it.

I really do love this book. I know I've told you that already. There's just a few more things I want to share about it before you enter to win.

  • I cried in chapter one (p. 26) I love their story, and their call to ministry, because it has God's handwriting all over it. You see Him do the seemingly impossible, and can't help but say to yourself, Yep God, only You...
  • I did the most underlining in Chapter 2, which bears the same title as the book. In particular, she speaks of being winsome. And frankly, it's something all women need to hear. Couple quotes:
  • People are much more likely to overlook faults when mutual love undergirds the relationship. And, in order for people to love you, you need to present yourself as lovable. (p. 53)
Girls, people need to like being around you! (p. 52)

Amen.

Good stuff. Practical, useful stuff. Hurts so good kind of stuff.

Alright. I'll let you enter now. Just leave me a comment to get yourself entered. I tried to think of something clever to have you comment about, but apparently I haven't had enough coffee yet...

I'll randomly pick a winner on Wednesday.

If you're not a blogger, please leave me an email address so I can reach you if you win!

  27. Hey,
This book sounds great! My husband is in the process of raising support to do ministry full time at our church. I'm excited about it, but pretty nervous too, I've never EVER thought of myself as a pastor's wife or anyone to model after. This has been something I've been thinking a lot about. Thanks for sharing this book, even if I don't win, I'll be picking this one up. :)

  33. I would so love to win a copy of this book because I'm a PW wearing tacky open toed sandals with nude panty hose and I need to know how to be a PW that wears cute shoes. I'm kidding, I know this book isn't a guide to cute shoes and I really don't wear pantyhose with sandals...sorry, I know it was vain of me to add that but I just had to. Seriously, I'm excited about this book getting into the hands of many PW's including myself because the Lord knows I need all the help I can get!

  34. First time leaving a comment here, but I've been reading your blog for about the past year. I know. Lame-o. But whatever:)

I'm a new lead/sr. pastor's wife. My husband just got called on as the lead guy in August, when we also had our first baby. Big transitions. I mean big.

Anyways. Love your blog. Have been meaning to say hi for a while, just haven't gotten up the nerve... (not sure if it's nerves, just not sure what it is).

I'd love to read this book. I love fashion and sometimes have a hard time maintaining the balance between clothes and ministry:) Oy.

Thanks, Sarah. I've appreciated learning your heart through this blog.

Yes, this pastor's wife would love this book! Especially since I had said the title, "Yes, you can still wear cute shoes," to my sister-in-law a year ago as she was about to become a pastor's wife! Honestly, I laughed when I read Lisa's title. :)
