Now You See Me...

What was I thinking?!?!?

Seriously. This is so not good for the self esteem.

The first video below, I did in August as a trial run...and I'm sharing it with you for the sheer "shock" value of my traumatized self. That sentence makes no sense...

Also, I have a couple disclaimers.

  1. In real life, I do not, in fact, have raccoon eyes. For my next video, which will be....never...I hope to have some of those high-wattage Hollywood lights that make every wrinkle, flaw, and raccoon eye disappear. Next time.
  2. This is likely THE MOST BORING post along the linky journey of I See What You're Saying...I think there should be a prize for that...I'm just sayin'.

My actual "See Me" post is below. Good luck. Thank you blogger for pausing on the absolute worst expression possible.

  1. No video from me. I'm not brave enough. :) I applaud you. You did good.

And there's nothing wrong with being random. It just means you can think about a LOT of things AT ONCE.

  2. Well, was I dorky enough for ya?! You are NOT a dork! You are cute and poised and animated, even your left side. Oh Sarah, thanks for doing this project. People are going to love seeing you and hearing your voice, lisp or no. (And I believe you--no lisp.) Have a great, fun day blog hopping. I'm just sad I have to go to work now! Love, Linda Crow

  3. Dorky or not! I do not care! It was hilarious and made my laugh! What more could you ask for, but to make someone laugh and have a great day!

    Thanks Sarah!

  4. You did great! We women are very self-conscience...that's why I didn't do a CLOSE UP video. No one can notice my flaws from the distance. I just had to make sure I didn't have holes in my socks. LOL!

(If you don't get that joke, you have to watch my video).

  5. I. Love. You.

Your video is so great. It was a great way to start my day, seeing your adorable face.

You want to talk about last minute? I'm still undecided. Today. The day of the video posting.

  6. i love your video Sarah!! And you are not the last...as I type this, my post is NOT up yet....but it will be later this morning.......ya, I tend to procrastinate things I am not sure I want to do!

  7. Great job, Sarah! If I was computer savvy enough I just may have tried to do a video post, but I'm just not.

  8. OH MY GOODNESS, you are absolutely hilarious and you had me laughing out loud this morning. Thank you for posting and putting yourself "out there" for all of us! I love, love, love your post. I so love your blog and look forward to it each day!

  9. I loved your video's! You are adorable! And since I'm jonesing for my sweaters I absolutely LOVE the brown cozy sweater you are wearing!
And I say kudos to you -- I'm not brave enough -- nor am I computer savvy enough to do a video of myself.
    Blessings!

  10. Oh my gosh, your accent is adorable! (Yes, you have an accent... to me anyway... you probably don't to anyone else.)

So glad you did this. Don't know how glad I am that you talked me into doing this. :)

  11. Oh, and don't worry - the blogger video stopped on the worst shot of me too. I'm sure there's some tech-y guys sitting around somewhere having a good laugh right now.

  12. I'm so impressed with all of you that did video posting. I am too much of a dork to even try!

You are as adorable in person as you are on your blog. It's so fun to put a face and a voice to your words. I love it!

    ReplyDelete
  13. You are so cute!! I wish I could have done this...maybe next time. It was fun to put a voice with your words...I pictured your voice to be a tad deeper sounding, but I love the voice I heard and I'll take your word on the lisp part.

    ReplyDelete
  14. You totally cracked me up this morning! You look/sound exactly as I pictured you. Pretty, funny, sweet, someone who would be totally fun to hang out with. Don't be too hard on yourself. At least you had the guts to get out there and put yourself out in the blogosphere! :)

  15. SO cute. Random is good.
I love that you were brave enough to post not 1 but 2 videos.
    You GLOW Girl! Blessings

  16. So my husband watched my videos for the first time this morning and informed me that
    1) I really do look traumatized in the first video
    2) My voice sounds totally different in real life.

this comes from the man that NEVER noticed (in 15 years) that the left side of my mouth looks paralized when I talk...so I'm not sure if his input is valid or not...the jury is still out on this one ;)

    Thanks anyways honey.

    ReplyDelete
  17. I absolutely adored this. Youa re so worried about your lisp, but honey, really, lots of people have lisps and there is nothing to be ashamed or embarrassed about. Just embrace your inner lisper.
I'll be back to see how you deal.

    ReplyDelete
  18. So glad you did this. It is nice to hear your voice! You said on your comment to me that you use your hands when you talk, but you didn't here! Oh well, Maybe next time. Will you do it next time?

    ReplyDelete
  19. Love it! I'm so glad you did this, it was fun to put a voice with your post. Even if it isn't what you sound like in real life. And I'll take your word on the no lisp thing, not that there would be anything wrong with having one.

  20. random is my favorite state to be in! :)

    you were great!

    ReplyDelete
  21. I just love you. Just sayin'. From one dork to another.

    ReplyDelete
  22. aww sarah...you're no dork. so good to finally "meetcha". you're sure cute and funny!

    ReplyDelete
  23. Love it! It's so fun to feel like I've met you "for real" ;)
Seriously though, I'm freaking out, because your voice totally reminds of someone in a movie, and I CAN'T figure out who it is! I'm going CRAZY!

    ReplyDelete
  24. Sarah, You rock! That was great!! The first one totally made me laugh, not at you, but what you were saying.

    You rock!

    ReplyDelete
  25. nice to "meet" you...sorry you can't meet me back...i'm totally coward to do this!

    paralysis? i don't notice anything.

    ReplyDelete
  26. I actually really liked both videos! Funny. I popped over to say "hello". I've yet to decide if I'm actually going to post my video attempt yet! Nice to meet you!

    ReplyDelete
  27. Well then, my video should have made you feel a WHOLE lot because mine was steeped in DORK. If possible, I love you even more now...I love the fact that you can just get up in front of the camera and ramble and be super cute and funny. So glad you did this!

    ReplyDelete
  28. I laughed so hard that my soda went down the wrong pipe and started to come out my nose...So funny, so cute...the lisp thing is cracking me up...I have a lisp on our home answering machine only..so the hubby has to do the message...thanks for making me laugh =)

  29. in addition to dorky...i'm 30 lbs overweight and menopausal, so it's been a fun summer.

  30. Oh my...you hope everyone else is a dork??? This is why I didn't participate! LOL You look fine...and you are NOT a dork!! I'm going to go watch some more, though!!!

    ReplyDelete
  31. LOL!!!! You are adorable, my dear. I love it!!!

Okay, I'll go make one....adorkable or not.

    ReplyDelete
  32. First off, let me say this:

Everyone dislikes the way they look/sound on camera. I sound JUST like a cross between a Yankee and a Southern Belle. SO.Not.Joking. It's just awful!

    Secondly:

I love your randomness. It is inspiring. Seriously!

    ReplyDelete
  33. That was too funny!

Girl, if you are looking for dorky you should try my video! rofl

It was a pleasure "meeting" you!

    ReplyDelete
  34. okay, I am gonna shoot straight with you sarah, these videos don't do your cuteness justice. *smile*
you are way cuter than how you look on these!
the lisp??!! where did that come from?!?! you DO NOT have a lisp...but on this video...yep there is a lisp! now that's funny!
the talking out the side, yeah, you do that, but it is cute!
just like how Noah talks with his bottom lip like his daddy!
There must be something odd that happens when one talks to a camera like it is a world of blog friends. I gotta say! You are still cute in the videos, just not AS cute as real life. They are gonna think you really have raccoon eyes and a lisp! lol!!that's funny!
you are so brave and not full of yourself for putting these out there! I just may have to try this myself. Daniel has glorified "dorky" status. Now so have you! Who'd 've thought you and daniel would be my favorite dorks!!!???
    thanks!

  35. I loved it Sarah! :) I'm way late - just got mine posted.
You seriously looked so frightened in the first video I was expecting tears at any moment, but in a relly cute way. :) SO FUN!! :) You really did a great job.

  36. I really love it that this is my first time here and I got to hear your lisp.

    You're not a dork.

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  51. You. Are. Funny! I love this! Great videos. Great hair. Great blog.

And I always say "peace out," so that was funny.

Sorry I didn't do a video post...but I would have put other dorks to shame, that's for sure!

  52. Thank you for lifting my spirits. Don't laugh a lot these days, but I can say it's getting better. I love being around positive people who can look around and see humor. In my opinion I am not photogenic so I shy away from camaras. I do have a few professional shots taken that turned out OK. Thanks again for sharing.

I love you! You made me laugh out loud and smile for the whole time I watched you just like when I read each post!!! You are so endearing and I thank God I met ya!!!!You are so cute even if you are skinny!!!! I may have to try this some time although I don't even like pictures of me much less a video. Maybe I could just do an audio because I love to sing and God gave me a voice!;O)

  60. Hi! I am still just getting around to all the videos from Tuesday's "I See What You're Saying". I have not proceeded in numerical order- what does that say about me?? This has been a blast. It's nice to meet you. Your 2 video post was absolutely great. Thanks for making me laugh!!

    ReplyDelete
  61. I loved "seeing what you're saying". Thanks for doing this...and don't worry, mine was plenty dorky. I was making it up as I went. And at least you're young and cute and animated. Okay, I'm animated -- too animated. But you're also poised and cute. Did I already say cute? Well in my experience we pastor's wives don't get nearly enough "You're cutes" so here's three for you today!!!

    Nice to meet ya!!!
